1 Makeup station

Applying your makeup in front of the bathroom mirror, can be a quite messy and stressful affair. If makeup is a part of your daily routine, consider creating a makeup station elsewhere in your home.

A table mirror

All makeup is best done with a steady hand. This means that the best investment you will ever make concerning your makeup, is a table mirror. This will allow you to rest your elbow on a table in a seated comfortable position, insuring a steady hand every time.

Natural lighting

Yellow lighting, or pour lighting in general, can be quite deceiving when it comes to your makeup look. Always aim to apply your makeup near a window instead. The natural light will give you an honest view, on how you makeup is going to look throughout the day.

If you live in a place where it’s mostly dark when you leave in the morning, a light-therapy lamp can be a great investment. You will get the benefit of light-therapy, while applying your makeup in lighting that simulates daylight.

Makeup box

Be sure to invest in a box with a lid, that is big enough to contain all of the makeup products that you use on a daily basis. Lay the products flat on the bottom, so that you can easily find everything you need. This way, you will avoid having to take out all of your makeup every morning, and having to sort through it a million times. When you’re done, just close the lid and everything will be ready once again. If you want, you can even add room-dividers and give each of your makeup items a place to stay.
