The main goal of your hairstyle is to keep your natural balance, and to show off your oval features.
Any parting of your hair will look great on you, side part, middle part, off-centered part, a strong side-part or anything in-between, so go ahead and rock your natural parting for your everyday look.
Classic side part
A classic look for you is a side part, where the front piece is curled away from the face and the other side is tucked behind your ear.
Any length will work for you. Go for long hair, a lob, a bob or even a simple pixie if you dare. Do however always let the health of your hair determine your length, and go shorter if your hair is on the thinner side.
If you love bangs, you’re lucky. Anything from rounded wispy bangs, to blunt boxy bangs, will look great next to your oval face shape. Even soft, long bangs that falls to the sides, or curtain-like bangs that is shorter in the middle and gets longer towards the corners. Also long side-swept bangs will draw attention to your eyes, and will look great on you. Do however avoid very heavy bangs as they can sometimes end up shortening your face.
You can do them all. Go for a chignon, braids, a top knot, a half updo or one of the many updo’s that you can think of.
Slicked back looks
If your hair is on the thicker side, you can even get away with the slicked back look for an elegant style.
Away from your face
One of the best ways to show off your oval face shape, is to go for hairstyles that sweeps the hair away from your face.
Heavy bangs and one length all around, as it will make your face appear longer. Also avoid adding too much hight on the top like a big bun, very teased updo’s or a short spiky cut, as it will add length to your face.
Do – You
The best advice is to work with what you got. Yes you can straighten curly hair and curl straight hair, but it takes a lot of time and money to constantly change your natural locks. A hairstyle that compliments your hair in it’s natural glory will always be flattering, and will keep your hair strong and healthy.
